Fort Garry

Here are various shots of some of a 54mm TS&TF 1885 Sudan wargame set in the Red Sea theatre with an Anglo-Indian force marching to relieve an Egyptian garrison.

The game was based on CS GRant's Wagon Train scenario from his first scenario book. It was only the 2nd TS&TF game I had ever played and was using the 20th Anniversary edition which had 1 little error, the game included a 10 sided die number 0-9 so we used that only to learn that the fire chart was designed for a 01-20 die. oops. The pictures pretty much tell the story, Weighed down by casualties the relief force failed to make any headway and need rescue themselves. The cavalry sorties from the fort only to be surprised by a masked Dervish gun  which due to the above error and some hot rolling, wiped out the cavalry force with 1 shot! The gallery ends with a British prisoner being used to test TS&TF's torture prisoner rule.................
