WAR of 1812

1 May 2007

40mm wargame project with converted and original figures

The figures are a mix out of the box or converted  Sash & Saber, Perry, and Irregular Napoleonics, Scruby (Historifig) 1812, converted Prince August and Zinnbrigade homecast figures and some Loch Sloy originals. The figures are organized for With MacDuff To The Frontier using a scale varying from 1:5 for skirmishes such as the action at the River Canard to 1:15 for the larger battles. (for example my 41st Foot has 4 8 man companies which deployed as companies are about right at 1:5 but deployed as a battalion are about right at 1:15. In my world, wargaming is an art not a science.

US Officer is from Irregular. Apart from a converted Perry Miniature, my other mounted officers on both sides are conversions of Zinnbrigade homecast

The bulk of both US & British line are based on the S&S Napoleonic British. Brit's straight up, US with heads converted or
replaced by homemade heads and with blanket roll cut off (mostly) . The US officer is a  converted Zinnbrigade French offer.
